Let Us Pray

That Bermuda beats Bangladesh today, once the rain stops falling in Trinidad. Bow your heads, ladies and gentlemen, fold your hands and PRAY. All of India must be doing the same now. In India, temple and church bells are ringing, chants emit from Buddhist shrines, and prayer mats are filled with whispered wishes for a Bangladesh beatdown by Bermuda. Hopefully, one billion wishes will be heard.

Let us also pray for Bob Woolmer, whose murderer has not been found, and whose death has now sent up doubts about banned-for-life South African cricketer Hansie Cronje’s “accidental” death in a plane crash in 2002. Woolmer’s secrets will now go with him to the grave, which is precisely what the bookies wanted.
